The Zimroth Center invites you to the 2024 Zimroth Center Annual Conference. The event will occur on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM in the Greenberg Lounge of Vanderbilt Hall at NYU Law School.

This year’s conference focuses on the Zimroth Center’s report on prosecutorial misconduct in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which results from a research partnership with the Office. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner will give the keynote address, speaking about the report, its findings, and the importance of transparency and rebuilding the community’s trust in the work of the Office.

This year’s panelists include:

  • Chester Hollman, who was wrongfully convicted and exonerated in 2019
  • Justin Murray, Associate Professor of Law at New York Law School
  • Patricia Cummings, Zimroth Center research scholar and former CIU Supervisor at the Philadelphia DA
  • Barry Scheck of the Innocence Project
  • Matthew Stiegler, Counsel to DA Krasner
  • Diana Teran, ADA of Ethics and Integrity Operations at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

These panels will discuss the report’s findings regarding prosecutorial misconduct and important steps that prosecutors and other criminal legal system actors should take to remedy and prevent such actions from occurring in the future.

This event has been approved for 3 New York State CLE credits in the category of Ethics & Professionalism. The Ethics & Professionalism credit is both transitional and non-transitional; it is appropriate for both experienced and newly admitted attorneys.

Registration can be found here and we hope you will join us.
