Opportunity: Earth Rights Advocacy Clinic RA Summer Positions

The Center for Human Rights and Global Justice’s Earth Rights Advocacy (ERA) is looking for 4 summer Research Assistants

Project Description: The objective is to design the first ever online toolkit for the implementation of the right to a healthy environment. For this, RAs will be working as a team and with key partners like UNEP, Universal Rights Group, and UN Rapporteurs to substantiate and aid in the design of the toolkit. Tasks range from creating analytical templates on relevant cases to working with UX designers on how to best serve stakeholders through the toolkit.

Time Commitment: approx. 7 hours / week.

Supervision: The project will be supervised by ERA / CHRGJ Director Prof. Cesar Rodriguez-Garavito and ERA attorney Melina De Bona.

Qualifications: All current students are welcome to apply. Interest and experience in environmental issues is a plus.

Due to the nature of the project, a second language (especially Spanish / Portuguese) is a plus.

Length: Summer semester with the opportunity of renewal.

Remuneration: According to NYU guidelines, the opportunity is open for 1 credit or
pay.
