This year’s Jean-Pictet Competition on International Humanitarian Law NYU Team has a last-minute opening for a student looking for an exciting experiential learning opportunity to deepen their knowledge of international humanitarian law (IHL). The competition is a week-long competitive training event on IHL that consists of simulations. This year’s 31st edition of the competition will take place in Obernai, France in late March. Travel expenses will be covered.
The student selected for this third slot on the NYU team will be required to work on a written team submission due November 8.
Potential candidates are encouraged to visit the competition page on CHRGJ’s website (above), the resources page of the Jean-Pictet Competition website and to review last year’s competition regulations.
- Currently enrolled NYU Law JD or LLM student
- Willing and able to travel internationally for weeklong competition in late March
NOTE: Jean-Pictet’s international regulations require that participants be under 30 years of age. However, requests for exemption can be made, so applicants over the age requirement will still be considered for the NYU team. If you are over 30, please note this when you apply.
Interested students should contact CHRGJ Executive Director Deborah Popowski at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible to indicate their interest. The team’s coaches will follow up with requests for additional information.
