May 31: Everytown Law Student Writing Competition

Posted on

Gun violence is one of the most pressing public health issues of our time. Through this writing competition, Everytown Law encourages the next generation of lawyers to consider ways in which litigation can be used to shape the future of gun violence prevention and gun safety in the civil and criminal justice systems. We invite you to be creative in choosing your idea! A list of sample topics may be found on the Writing Competition web page. Click here to view last year’s winning submissions!

The submission form is now available here! All submissions must be received by Friday, May 31, 2024, midnight EST

Everytown Law may award up to three prizes*: a first place prize of $2,500 and two runners-up prizes of $1,000. All three top papers will be eligible for publication on Everytown for Gun Safety’s website or social media. Winning submissions will be announced in August 2024.
