Paid Research Assistant Opportunity
The NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights is seeking a student to assist Professor Michael Posner with his work, specifically writing human rights opinion pieces and other miscellaneous materials. The Center is active in facilitating conversations around human rights and advocating for greater protections, with large, multi-billion dollar companies. This position is responsible for supporting the Center’s efforts to drive these conversations through written, external-facing materials and publications. You will be tasked with providing research assistance, drafting, and editing, as well as organizational and administrative support on various projects.
This is a great opportunity to gain an overarching view of the evolving and expanding intersection of business and human rights. You will develop a cutting edge understanding of the dynamics between various stakeholders in different industries; gain greater knowledge of foreign and domestic affairs; and deepen your understanding of the challenges companies face when operating in a global environment.
We are looking for one graduate-level student for this position. You must have excellent interpersonal judgment, strong writing skills for pieces targeting varied audiences, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing deadlines simultaneously. As such, you should be able to demonstrate that you are organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
