RA for Professor Garland (Criminal Justice)

Posted on

Professor David Garland would like to hire a Research Assistant for part-time work (5-10 hours per week) during the Fall and perhaps the Spring semesters.

The work will involve gathering and summarizing materials on prison abolitionism, de-funding the police, and Black Lives Matter critiques of criminal justice and also on conservative responses to these proposals and critiques. The work can be done remotely.

JD students in any class level (1L, 2L, 3L) and LLM students are welcome to apply.

Please submit a resume, a transcript and a cover letter to Professor Garland’s assistant, Monica Millay, at millaym@mercury.law.nyu.edu.

Applicants should have a familiarity with, and an interest in current criminal justice politics. Please apply by Friday, September 25, 2020.
