Hauser Global Law School Program Seeks Research Assistants for Spring 2019

The Hauser Global Law School Program is currently accepting research assistant applications for the Global Faculty who will be located at NYU School of Law during the spring 2019 semester. Research assistants must be NYU Law students.  Projects will include assisting with research as well as preparing course materials. The hourly rate is $15.00 and the number of hours per week is flexible. Please submit a resume and separate cover letter(s) addressed to the professor(s) you are interested in working with to by Friday, January 25, 2019.

Courses:  Colloquium on Issues in Landlord/Tenant Law & Policy;
Economic Role of Property Rights Seminar
Details: Land use regulations and zoning in Europe and Latin America. Civil procedures in Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Russia, Sweden,Poland, Portugal, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India, Pakistan, etc.

Applicants who have previously practiced law in Europe (with French and/or Spanish as working languages) or South America (with Spanish and/or Portuguese as working languages) are preferred.

Professor:  Bing Bing Jia
Courses:  Advanced International Law; Law of the Sea

Details:  To assist with the preparation of a chapter on international humanitarian law in a Cambridge University Press commentary and reflection volume about the 50 year anniversary of the 1970 Friendly Relations Declaration (UNGA Res 2625).
Preferred Background: Have previously taken Public International Law courses (general international law, including the history of international law, international dispute settlement, and humanitarian law).
