Sept. 19: 30th Annual Public Interest Legal Career Reception

Co-sponsored by 20 law schools, this reception will introduce you to and highlight outstanding and rewarding work done in public service with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and private/public interest law firms. Valuable to all students committed to becoming a public interest lawyer or simply interested in exploring career paths. Come to make contacts and talk to practitioners about their work and experiences.

Attend this event to:

◦ Gain a greater understanding of the range of public interest work

◦ Enable you to make better choices during your planning process and job search  

◦ Make contacts and speak with public interest practitioners about their work and experiences


◦ Organizations and agencies at tables available to talk about their work, hand out literature, and answer questions 

◦ Relatively informal

Thing to know for the Reception:

◦ Business casual clothing is appropriate 

◦ You do not need to register ahead of time, just show up

◦ You must sign-in (day of event) near the entrance on the 1st floor
