Oct. 29: Getting out of NYC: Summer Internships Beyond the Big Cities

Posted on

You may have considered spending your summer doing public interest work in New York City, DC, or California, but have you thought about going somewhere more rural?  Join us for a discussion with current NYU law students who have spent a summer outside of a major city. Students will share their experiences working at Legal Aid of North Carolina; the Public Defender of Montgomery County, Alabama; the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Tacoma, Washington; and the Texas Civil Rights Project in Austin, TX.  This panel will take place on Tuesday, October 29, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in VH 218.  Please join us and learn about the benefits and challenges of taking the road less traveled and spending a summer at a rural public interest organization. Pizza will be served!

Date: Tuesday, October 29th
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM
Room: VH 218
