Join PILC, ILS, LSHR, and Law Women for lunch with Jennifer Turner (JD 06). Jennifer is the Human Rights Researcher in the ACLU’s Human Rights Program. She conducts documentation research and advocacy on human rights violations in the United States, with a focus on criminal justice, policing, national security, racial justice, women’s rights, children’s rights, and immigrants’ rights. Prior to joining the ACLU, Jennifer was a fellow in the Women’s Rights Division of Human Rights Watch, and also worked in the asylum program of Human Rights First.

 

This event is excellent for those students interested in:

  • A career in human rights, and how to enter this field.
  • The use of international human rights frameworks in the domestic context.
  • Issues including criminal justice, racial justice, women’s rights, children’s rights, immigration and national security.
