Business Transactions Clinic – Applications due Monday, March 21 at 5:00 PM

Posted on

Applications for the Business Transactions Clinic are due on Monday, March 21, at 5:00 PM. All rising 2Ls and 3Ls are eligible.

Under faculty supervision, clinic students provide free business and transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and under-resourced entrepreneurs and small businesses that operate in areas of concern to the public. The most common projects entail commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, intellectual property, and startup finance.

The clinic is directed by Naveen Thomas and Jillian Schroeder-Fenlon. Prof. Thomas also teaches Contract Drafting, and the clinic seminar covers some of that course’s subject matter as well as other lawyering skills and substantive law related to transactional practice.
