Apr. 5: Financial Literacy Skill Session

Posted on

Most of us have big financial goals and not enough cash to spare. So deciding what to do with your paycheck after you’ve covered your basic expenses can be tough. After all, debt can be costly, but not having some savings puts you in a position where you can easily rack up more high-interest debt. Where does retirement savings fit into the picture? What’s the best use of a tax refund? Should you pay off your student loans before worrying about retirement?

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • How to construct a hassle-free budget
  • Why you need to multi-task debt repayment and savings
  • How to prioritize different types of debt
  • Why you can’t afford to delay retirement savings

Pizza will be served and Q&A will be throughout the presentation with time for additional questions at the end.

Date: Friday, April 5th

Time: 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Room: FH 210
