12:45 PM – 3:00 PM
Classroom 326, Furman Hall
During the first hour of this workshop (12:45-2:00 p.m.), learn concrete techniques for networking at events, including approaching people you don’t know, becoming a good conversationalist, and exchanging business cards. In the second hour (2:00-3:00 p.m.), we will work on crafting an effective “elevator pitch.”
Come for the whole workshop, the first, or second part only.
This is an interactive session in which you’ll get to practice networking skills; the aim is to make you feel more comfortable and confident at your next professional event. This workshop is particularly helpful to those attending ISIP.
The presenter, Lourdes Olvera-Marshall LLM ’06, teaches Networking at NYU School of Professional Studies.
