Clerkship Recommendation Match for 2Ls (JD 2021)

Posted on

Current 2Ls (JD 2021) who plan to apply for post-graduation judicial clerkship positions this June must participate in the Judicial Clerkship Recommendation Matching program in order to obtain recommendation letters from NYU Law professors (full-time, lawyering, adjuncts, visitors, etc.).

Monday, March 9: “bidding” for recommendation letters opens on CSM. Go to the OCI module, select “2020 Clerkship Recommendation Match” from the Session drop-down. In order to submit a successful bid, you must “rank” the professor and attach a resume and unofficial transcript to the bid.

Thursday, March 12: “bidding” for recommendation letters closes at 11:59 PM.

Monday, April 6: results of the match will be released to students.

Wednesday, April 8: deadline to post your recommenders questionnaire and DRAFT writing sample to your matched recommenders.

Wednesday, April 8: deadline to decline a matched recommender.

For additional details about the Clerkship Recommendation Match, please see the email that was sent to all 2Ls on Tuesday, March 3.

Going forward, we will only send reminder emails about the match to 2L students who have completed the clerkship registration form on CSM. To complete the registration form, go to the “Clerkships” page of your CSM account.

For a complete list of dates and deadlines, please see the “Class of 2021 Clerkship Deadlines and Checklist” document .
