Aug 26: Virtual Fall OCI Featuring Public and Private Sector Employers – Bidding for Week 1 Open August 26-31

Posted on

Fall OCI is a seven week virtual recruiting program during which public and private sector employers conduct screening interviews with NYU Law students. The program is administered via CSM ( Interviews will be taking place virtually via Flo Recruit. Students should expect to receive detailed information regarding Fall OCI via email on or about August 22.

For law firms and private sector employers, interviews are assigned through a lottery, based on students’ ranked preferences. ALL public interest and government employers will pre-select their Fall OCI schedules based on students’ resumes and cover letters. Students will still bid to interview with all public interest and government employers however, interviewees will be selected by the employer.

Bidding for interviews occurs on a week-by-week basis, so we ask that you monitor the system closely to determine if you would like to bid each week. You can request interviews with employers beginning the Friday two and a half weeks prior to their scheduled interview date. Bidding will close the following Monday, two weeks prior to the employer’s scheduled interview date, with some exceptions.

Week 1 bidding will open on Friday, August 26 at 12:00 p.m. and will close on Wednesday, August 31 at 9:00 a.m. Students will learn whether or not they have received an interview for week 1 of Fall OCI on Tuesday, 9/6 at 12:00 p.m.

We recommend that all students who are uncertain of their summer or permanent employment plans register to interview with those employers of interest. If you have any questions regarding Fall OCI, please contact Sara McDonough (
