2022 New York City Bar Summer Series

This annual series features three areas where lawyers and law students can learn about critical practice areas in 2022. We plan to hold these programs in person and webcast the panel presentations. Each program will consist of a one-hour panel presentation followed by small group discussions led by our panel members and other attorneys, giving you the unique opportunity to ask questions and gain significant insight into these exciting practice areas. Brochure available here.

This series is free to students and alumni of the sponsoring law schools, $15 for members, and $30 for non-members.

The practice of labor and employment can vary, from advising businesses on complying with applicable laws and regulations to helping protect workers when their rights are being violated. In this program, panelists will discuss what practicing labor and employment law involves, the differing career paths available, and the areas of growth.

Careers in Cyber Security & Data Privacy Law

As the legal and regulatory environment continues to evolve, organizations are working hard to comply and protect the information they hold, paving the way for law firm, in-house, and public sector opportunities for new lawyers or lawyers in transition.  Cybersecurity and data privacy attorneys work in litigation, regulatory, and transactional practices, as such these fields remain open to a diverse array of practice settings and require a diverse set of skills.
