I’m taking in as much of the gorgeous fall weather as I can. Here are a few things I’ve done so far to relax and revel in the best season of the year.

Living in NYU Law housing means I avoid the myriad problems and stresses of living off-campus in New York City.

NYU School of Law is a good place for a book-lover to end up, certainly. During my first year, it was exciting and challenging to devote myself to reading again. But an even greater treat was waiting for me the summer after my 1L year: I had landed an internship in the legal department of the New York Public Library.

When I talk about engagement, I am not talking only about being engaged in classes.

As someone who wasn’t going “K-JD,” as they say, I was faced with the ordeal of variously ending, changing, and relocating all the components of my fully formed life to do something entirely different in an entirely different place.

Here are a few of the reasons why I don’t (and won’t) regret transferring to NYU Law.

I sat down with Gerard Cicero, a 2L, this week to ask him a few questions about NYU Law from the perspective of a student.

Formal mentorship programs at NYU Law helped me get through my 1L year with sanity (mostly) intact.

How I describe my LL.M. life so far: plainer than you think, deeper than you imagine.

I have spent the majority of my adulthood at Washington Square Park and at NYU, which makes it nearly superfluous to say that I have grown during my time here. However, graduation from the Law School presents a new sense of purpose as I venture back into the frays of the world beyond academia.

I sat down with Amy Wolfe, a 1L, this week to ask her a few questions about NYU Law School from the perspective of a student.

Not sure what to expect when you visit NYU Law? Food, drink, and general merriment, certainly. But that’s far from all.

“Sandy’s Memory Fades Fast in Washington.” That provocative headline made me realize just how different the last few weeks would have been for me had I elected to stay in D.C. rather than coming to NYU.

Visiting NYU School of Law definitely helped me make my decision to come here. But what if you can’t attend an Admitted Students Day, are still waiting to hear back, or are deciding whether to apply? Hopefully, this entry can help you make the most of a self-guided tour.

As I prepared to start law school, I had always assumed that I’d end up most stressed about something more normal, like loans, packing, or the Socratic method. Instead, it was thoughts of section mixers and mock classes that were keeping me up at night.

I am in the majority. I am part of the approximately two-thirds of students who are starting law school after a gap in their schoolings. It’s good to be back. School is still the same as I remember: a huge collection of people my age who over-fill auditoriums and clap very loudly. If orientation week was any indication, law school is going to be no different, except there is a lot more free food, and this time around my handwriting is much worse.

The Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy (“BLIP”) Clinic’s first-ever Legal Hackathon made waking up before 9:00 on a Sunday morning worth it. Going to law school at NYU puts on tap a legal community and resources that you really cannot fully contemplate until you actually arrive here.

Last Thursday, NYU Law’s International Law Society, SBA, and Asia Law Society came together to sponsor the annual International Food Festival in an attempt to break me out of my second-semester funk.

Over the past year two of the four major sports leagues, the National Football League (NFL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA), experienced lockouts that threatened to cancel their respective seasons (which in retrospect, as a New York Giants fan, would […]
