Post Hurricane Sandy Instructional Support

Central ITS is pleased to report that with the power restored to lower Manhattan,
they were able to fully restore Blackboard Saturday afternoon, including
ability to create new TurnItIn assignments, and enrollment data-feed
updates with ALBERT.

Throughout Hurricane Sandy, Blackboard has been in constant use. In a
single 24 period (Thursday evening to Friday evening) there
were 8,742 unique users spending an average of an 1 hour in Blackboard, and NYU
Classes saw 3,382 unique sessions over a 4 day period.

As faculty and students re-enter post-hurricane academic life on Monday, they
