The New York University School of Law Office of Development and Alumni Relations invites you to the 18th annual Derrick Bell Lecture on Race in American Society on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in Vanderbilt Hall. William M. Carter, Jr., dean and professor of law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law will present his lecture titled, β€œThe Thirteenth Amendment, the Legacies of Slavery, and the Promises of Freedom.” A reception will immediately follow the lecture.
