This event will be a talk with a senior partner from an entertainment law firm in Los Angeles. Mr. Mandelbaum will discuss how he came to be in the entertainment law industry, what a typical day at his firm is like, his advice for students interested in entertainment law, as well as take student questions. There will be pizza served at this event. His bio is below: Jamie Mandelbaum, NYU Law ’85, is a partner at Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein, a boutique Los Angeles entertainment law firm. Jamie grew up in White Plains, New York, and graduated from Yale College in 1981. After college, Jamie worked in strategic planning at The Phoenix Theater in Manhattan and as a paralegal at the entertainment law firm Fulop & Hardee. His first job as an attorney was in the entertainment department of the New York office of Loeb and Loeb. His current practice is focused primarily on negotiating feature film, television, licensing, endorsement and new media deals for his actor/ performer, writer, director, producer and production company clients. Jamie lives in Santa Monica with his husband and two daughters.
