Mediation in Civil Cases: A Conversation with U.S. District Court Judge Dan Polster

The NYU Mediation Organization and the Judicial Clerkship Office welcome U.S. District Court Judge Dan Polster to campus to discuss the practice of mediation in civil cases over an informal lunch with law students. Students with an interest in mediation or civil litigation generally are encouraged to attend. Complimentary lunch will be provided.

Judge Polster currently serves as a United States District Judge for the Northern District of Ohio (1998 – present). He has previously served as Assistant United States Attorney for Northern District of Ohio (1982 – 1998) and as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division (1976 – 1982). Judge Polster received his J.D. from Harvard Law School (1976) and his A.B. from Harvard College (1972), and is the father of Joshua Polster, NYU Law JD ’11.
