Amy and Brian Schorr Family Luncheon Speaker Series Featuring Virginia “Jean” Molino, General Counsel and partner at McKinsey

Virginia “Jean” Molino will be our guest speaker for the Amy and Brian Schorr Family Luncheon Speaker Series on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013. Virginia “Jean” Molino is General Counsel and partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc.  Jean joined McKinsey in 1985 as its first General Counsel and has served on various firm committees over the years, with a particular focus on risk and governance, conflicts management, compensation, and personnel matters. Jean now oversees a team of approximately 60 lawyers, contract managers, paralegals and administrative staff spread across 20 locations around the world.

Prior to joining McKinsey & Company, Jean served as General Counsel to Suburban Propane Gas Corporation, then a New Jersey headquartered publicly traded diversified energy company. Jean joined the legal staff of Suburban Propane directly from law school, and handled a wide variety of corporate and regulatory matters, with an initial focus on labor arbitrations and collective bargaining agreements. Jean was elected General Counsel in 1983.

Jean is a 1976 graduate of New York University School of Law, and has an MA degree from the University of Wisconsin and a BA from New York University, both in Sociology. Jean serves on the Board of Directors and Leadership Council for The Convergence Center for Policy Resolution, located in Washington DC. Convergence convenes people and groups with conflicting views to build trust, identify solutions, and form alliances for action on critical national issues.

Jean lives in Short Hills, NJ. with her husband Greg Smith, a fine art dealer and publisher (and former lawyer). They have two sons, Danny and Alex.  Jean grew up in Union City, New Jersey and enjoys traveling, film, theater, cooking and reading.
