RESEARCH ASSISTANTS NEEDED

Professor Rodriguez Seeks Research Assistant

 

Professor Cristina Rodríguez is seeking to hire a research assistant for the Spring 2009 semester. Second-year students are preferred. The projects for which assistance may be required include studies of the original understanding of the Fourteenth Amendment and originalism in constitutional interpretation; citizenship and the common law; delegation in immigration law; the legislative history of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 immigration reforms; and municipal voting in the European Union. Applicants should also expect to conduct research on constitutional and immigration law topics more generally. Applicants must have taken constitutional law, but no background in immigration law is required. Applicants also must be able to commit to seven to 10 hours per week of research and will be paid $12.00 per hour.
