RESEARCH ASSISTANTS NEEDED

Professor Gillers Needs Research Assistance

Professor Gillers needs one or more research assistants to help with the eighth edition of his legal ethics casebook. The new edition is now in draft manuscript form. The work will occur between early November and the end of the year, possibly a month longer. It will require reading the entire manuscript for clarity and checking the citations for accuracy and subsequent history. You will learn a great deal about the subject. The work can be done according to your own schedule within the publisher’s deadlines. Of course, you will be acknowledged in the book and get an autographed copy. When it is published in spring, we’ll have a celebratory lunch. This is an occasionally intense effort, depending on the publisher’s deadlines, but is manageable and predictable. The real value to you, beyond the school’s payment for researchers, is a chance to learn a subject from top to bottom and inside out. You need not have taken the class or have used the book in the class if you have taken it. Editorial experience is a plus but not essential. If interested, or if you want to discuss further without making a commitment, please leave your résumé with contact information with Shirley Gray in Vanderbilt Hall, Room 422.
