Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 4:00 p.m. in Furman Hall, Rm. 212

PILC is excited to announce a new post-graduate fellowship opportunity:  The Ford Foundation Post-Graduate Fellowship in Public Interest Law. The fellowship funds one year of full-time work at a Ford Foundation grantee organization beginning in fall 2014. Three NYU 3Ls will be selected for the Fellowship. The Fellowship carries a $45,000 stipend. The Ford Foundation will additionally reimburse up to $15,000 of the host organization’s costs for benefits. Fellows may join an organization in staff attorney positions, or work with a Ford grantee organization to develop a one-year project that supports the organization’s mission.

Interested 3Ls should attend the information session on Wednesday, November 13 at 4pm in Furman Hall Room 212. Between November and January, applicants will need to secure a sponsorship from one of the participating Ford grantee organizations. Applications, which will include a resume and cover letter from the student as well as a commitment letter from the Ford grantee organization, will be due Monday, February 10. Selections will be made by March 10. For more information, please contact Elisabeth Voigt at elisabeth.voigt@nyu.edu.
