Join attorneys from the Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice for a training on how to prevent and address the impacts of vicarious trauma. Vicarious trauma, sometimes called “compassion fatigue” is the trauma that helping professionals often experience as a result of hearing about their clients’ traumatic experiences.  Over time, secondary trauma can give rise to symptoms that ultimately contribute to burnout, impeding our ability to effectively serve clients.
