Professor Sarah Woo is looking to hire 2-3 part-time research assistants for the rest of the summer and during fall semester (with a potential to continue in the spring/summer of 2011) to start immediately. The RAs will help with a few projects in the area of financial regulation and bankruptcy; specifically, the projects relate to commercial real estate bankruptcies, reforms affecting rating agencies, and Basel III/stress-testing issues. Duties will include literature review, editing and assistance building a dataset (including reading and coding a sample of filings/cases, and interviewing counsel and bankers involved in these cases). Understanding of bankruptcy and finance is useful but is by no means required. Preference for students with experience using Bloomberg Law/PACER. Time commitment of each RA is flexible and negotiable. If you are interested, please send her an email with your resume at sarahwoo@nyu.edu.
