The Tax Law Review is a faculty-edited journal published by the tax faculty at NYU Law. Most of the substantive editorial work is done by the faculty; cite-checking, Bluebooking, proofreading, etc. are done by our student editors. The TLR will be hiring a student editor for the summer of 2009.
This is a part-time “job”; hours are flexible. You can put in as many hours a week as you want. The student editor will be working under Professor Deborah Schenk’s supervision, but primarily will be working alone at hours of his/her choice. The editor will be compensated at a rate of $20 per hour.
If you are interested, please leave a résumé and writing sample in Professor Schenk’s mailbox in Vanderbilt Hall, Room 416 by April 30. This editorial position is open to J.D. and LL.M. students (including 2009 graduates). Preference will be given to someone with tax and/or law review experience and those able to work the most hours.
This position has been successfully combined in the past with studying for the bar, attending summer school, being a research assistant and the like. It is not open to someone who has a full-time paid summer position. If you have any questions, please see Professor Deborah Schenk, editor-in-chief, in Vanderbilt Hall, Room 430H, or call her at (212) 998-6163.
