NYU Journal of Law and Business: Executive Compensation Panel (2 CLE)

The NYU Journal of Law & Business is pleased to invite all students, faculty, alumni, and friends to our fall panel on executive compensation on October 29, from 5:30-7:30, in Furman Hall, 245 Sullivan Street, Room 214. The area of executive compensation regulation has received increased scrutiny from lawmakers, businesses, and the public at large due to news media and attention from the Obama administration. The panel will focus on recent developments in executive compensation, including compensation rules under TARP, new SEC regulations, “say on pay” legislation, and regulations concerning compensation committee independence. Panelists will discuss the current climate of executive compensation regulation, debate the merits and problems of the current environment and regulatory scheme, and suggest solutions for moving forward. The panelists include partners from large New York law firms, distinguished law professors, and experienced business consultants who are experts in the field of executive compensation. 2 CLE credits are available for attendance.

Panelists (alphabetically):

John J. Cannon III – Partner in Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits, Shearman & Sterling LLP

Jeremy L. Goldstein (moderator) – Partner in Executive Compensation and Benefits, Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz
