2009-10 Housing Lottery and Room Draw for On-Campus Housing

Each year the Office of Residential Life conducts a lottery process for current students in order to determine eligibility for housing (the lottery) and the selection of apartments (the room draw) for the following academic year. Lottery applications, as well as the returning student housing application, will be available here on January 22. The deadline to submit your application is 5:00 p.m. on January 29.
New for 2009-10:
1) The housing rates were not increased for the 2009-10 academic year. Keep in mind that all housing options include utilities (gas, heat, and air conditioning) and furniture in the rates established; the rates in Mercer and D’Agostino also include ResNet (high-speed Internet), NYU cable and phone service with local calls, voicemail and call waiting.
2) All students returning to housing for the full 2009-10 academic year will receive a one-month rent rebate credited to their University account during the Spring semester. To be eligible for this rebate, returning students:
• must have been in residence during the entire 2008-09 academic year (Fall/Spring) or the entire Spring and Summer 2009 terms.
• must participate in the 2009-10 Housing Lottery and Room Draw and make the cap in order to select an apartment, or be assigned off the housing waitlist.
• must be in residence for the entire 2009-10 academic year. Students taking a leave of absence or studying abroad are ineligible.

Complete instructions and apartment descriptions are available online. Please read this information carefully.
