Quiet Hours are now in effect and will continue throughout the exam period. During this time, departments and student groups will minimize events and the law library will have extended hours. Multi-Cultural Programs and Resources
NYU Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP):
Explore New York… Explore the World:
Discover the unique communities that make New York City unlike any other. Throughout the year, free guided tours will take you to vibrant neighborhoods far beyond Washington Square to experience new cultures, cuisines, and traditions that will deepen your appreciation for your new home. Please click here for more information, or click here to register for this week’s tour.
Museum Getaway is a new initiative from the NYU Division of Student Affairs designed to provide free access for students to many of New York City’s museums. In addition, several of the museums have opportunities for faculty and staff to visit for free as well. Please click here for more information.
Law School Buddies:
We are looking for volunteers to serve as law school buddies to a great, enthusiastic group of 14 foreign exchange students from various countries including Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany and Singapore. For many of our foreign exchange students, this is their first time in New York City and the United States. We would like to match each foreign exchange student with a J.D. volunteer as a “law school buddy.” This is a great opportunity for J.D. students to get to know new foreign law school students and to get different perspectives on legal life! Ideally, buddies can provide these students with advice about law school life, information on classes, and suggestions on things to do in. To encourage interaction, we offer an allowance of $20 to help subsidize an initial light snack between a foreign exchange student and each buddy. If you are interested, or would like more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
