Orison S. Marden Moot Court Competition: Final Argument

Tuesday, March 28, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Greenberg Lounge, 40 Washington Sq. South, New York, New York 10012

Named for the famous NYU Alumnus, the Orison S. Marden Competition is an annual, school-wide moot court tournament open to all second-year and third-year students. The NYU Moot Court Board administers the competition and drafts the problems for both the Fall Elimination and Spring Semifinal Rounds.

The Final Argument of the Marden Competition will feature four of your peers arguing before a panel of federal judges. The Moot Court Board will welcome Judge Bernice B. Donald of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Judge Robert D. Sack of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and Judge Sara L. Ellis of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois as panelists.

The case in question is United States v. Malone, presenting a question about the disclosure of the FBI’s use of the “Network Investigative Technique” and whether the accidental deletion of personal files constituted a violation of the Fourth Amendment.

Please RSVP by March 27th.
