The First-Year Public Defender Experience: Challenges, Joys and Strategies for Making the Most of the First Year of Practice
Monday, April 6, 12:30-1:30 p.m., FH 212. Committed (or almost committed) to public defense work and concerned or curious about what you are going to face? If so, please join us for a panel discussion with first-year public defenders from New York and Washington, DC. The panel will include discussion of issues the panelists have confronted in the first year and strategies for dealing with them, as well as a Q&A period to address specific concerns you may have. Co-sponsored by the Youth and Criminal Justice Society. Pizza and soda will be served.
