Moot Court, Presented by the College of Arts and Science Lawyer Alumni Mentoring Program
NYU alumni will judge moot court arguments (presented by associates in two major NYC law firms) in the case of Safford United School District #1 v. Redding, 08-479.

The Supreme Court granted certiorari on January 16 and ordered expedited briefing. It is expected that argument will be scheduled to take place during the last two weeks of April.
At issue: whether the Fourth Amendment prohibits public school officials from conducting a search of a student suspected of possessing and distributing a prescription drug on campus in violation of school policy.
Open to everyone in the NYU community.
