Abstract:
What is privacy? Why is it valuable? How should we balance it against other interests? Privacy, as many have lamented, is currently a concept in disarray. Professor Daniel Solove will discuss his new book, Understanding Privacy, in which he proposes a new theory for understanding privacy that draws from a broad array of interdisciplinary sources and provides clear guidance for engaging with privacy issues in law and policy.
