Seventh Annual Gruss Lecture
It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Seventh Annual Caroline and Joseph S. Gruss Lecture on Monday, March 2, 2009.
The lecture will be held in Vanderbilt Hall, Greenberg Lounge and will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. A short reception will follow the lecture.
Ruth Gavison, Haim H. Cohn Professor of Human Rights at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Law Faculty and founding president of the Metzilah Center for Zionist, Jewish, Liberal and Humanist Thought, will present the lecture, entitled “Jews and Israelis: Issues of Membership in the Jewish Religion, Jewish People, Jewish State.”
H.E. Professor Gabriela Shalev, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, will introduce Professor Gavison.
