• To be considered compliant for Spring 2013 Finals, you must take and properly submit “Practice Exam” by 2:00pm Tuesday, May 7, 2013
• Not sure of your compliance status? Find that, your TestId, and any successful exam uploads at http://examreporter.law.nyu.edu
• Make certain to give yourself enough time before the deadline to go through this process. Don’t wait until the last minute. Contact ITS if you run into issues.
• Although Windows 8 is now supported for Spring 2013 exams, some hardware is not, notably the Microsoft Surface/Pro device.

• Any previous Practice Exams do not count towards compliance. That means … mid-semester exams … last semester’s/year’s finals … etc. …

• The only exam name that counts towards compliance is “Practice Exam”
• Throughout the exam period, log in to ExamReporter to view which exams you have (or haven’t…) uploaded.

Throughout Hurricane Sandy, Blackboard has been in constant use. In a
single 24 period (Thursday evening to Friday evening) there
were 8,742 unique users spending an average of an 1 hour in Blackboard, and NYU
Classes saw 3,382 unique sessions over a 4 day period.

As faculty and students re-enter post-hurricane academic life on Monday, they

Remote Proctor
If you’re examining with Remote Proctor, you must submit a completed Remote Proctor Qualification Exam before 2pm, Friday April 27th for the Spring 2012 semester.

If you have successfully completed the Qualification Exam, you’ll receive an email from Software Secure indicating a successful upload. The Remote Proctor Qualification Exam will not be reflected in ExamReporter.

ITS will be performing regularly scheduled maintenance on the evening of Friday, April 20, 2012.  During this maintenance window ITS will be hardware used to host Blackboard.  Service will be restored by 12:00 a.m., at which time users will be able to login to Blackboard as usual.

The Course Archive Browser allows instructors to search for their own archived course and restore it.

Check out the link above for more info and instructions or simply follow these four steps:

1. Log into your Blackboard course and select the Control Panel.
2. Under Course Tools select Course Archive Browser.
3. Select Request a Course Restoration.
4. You will now see a drop down list of all your previous archived courses. Only those past courses that you were an instructor for will be listed. Select the course you wish to restore. Choose the availability and click Submit.

Once the restoration is complete, you will be able to see your restored class at NYUHome in the Blackboard Course channel under the Academics Tab.

Note: The restoration process might take a couple of minutes depending on how much content is stored in the archive.
