Federalism Issues in the Implementation of Private International Law Treaties

Fordham Law School, Lincoln Center, Room 211Projects of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, UNCITRAL, UNIDROIT, and OAS-CIDIP process often deal with areas of law that in the United States have been governed by state, rather than federal, law. This panel will explore those relationships with reference to treaties already negotiated, and in future projects, providing the perspectives of representatives from the Department of State, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, and academic commentators.
