Adding a Graduate-Level Non-Law Course

Students who want to add a graduate-level non-law course need to complete a Request to Register for Non-Law School Graduate-Level Course (for non-Stern courses) or a Request to Register for Stern Graduate-Level Non-Preferential Courses. Both forms are available online and in the Office of Academic Services (Furman Hall, Room 474). Additionally, you must provide a copy of the course description, the syllabus, and a statement of how the course will enrich your knowledge of the law. (LL.M. students must also obtain the signature of their faculty director.) All documents must be submitted to the Office of Academic Services (J.D. students), the Office of Graduate Affairs (non-tax L.L.M. students) or the Office of Graduate Tax (tax LL.M. students).

Non-law courses are not available on a credit/fail basis.
