Maureen A. Brundage is the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Ethics Officer of The Chubb Corporation. Until its acquisition in 2016 by ACE Limited, Chubb was a Fortune 300, NYSE listed company and was one of the largest U.S. property and casualty insurance companies, in addition to having operations in 23 countries outside the United States. Ms. Brundage joined Chubb in 2005 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and subsequently took on the additional roles of Chief Ethics Officer (2008) and Corporate Secretary (2013). She left Chubb in 2016 after completion of its acquisition.
Prior to moving to Chubb, Ms. Brundage was a partner at White & Case LLP, which she joined upon graduating from law school in 1981 and was promoted to partner in 1989. She headed the firm’s global securities law practice group from 1998 until leaving in 2005. During her years at White & Case, she advised U.S. and non U.S. multinational companies in numerous industries on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including initial public offerings, other equity and debt offerings and M&A.
Ms. Brundage received her J.D. in 1981 from the New York University School of Law, where she was co-editor-in-chief of its Annual Survey of American Law. She graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University in 1978 with a B.A. in Economics and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She also studied for a year at the London School of Economics. She lives in Edison, NJ, with her husband Terry and their two children, Katie and Brian.
